UConn, Tennessee Commits Lead ASGR Top 250 For 2015

The recruiting commitments from the Class of 2015 have been rolling in this summer, and the early leader comes as no surprise. Once again, Connecticut is out front with a superb class. At this point, Tennessee seems to be the top competition for the Huskies.

The All Star Girls Report has released its Top 250 list for the Class of 2015, with UConn commitment Katie Samuelson leading the rankings. Overall, the class is not particularly strong or deep.

“The 2015 Class is pretty strong at the top, but the big thing with this class is that there is very little separation between No. 100 and No. 175,” said ASGR analyst Bret McCormick. “It was tough ranking these kids because No. 100 through No. 175 are almost interchangeable. A lot of these kids could have an impact as freshmen, it’s just a question of picking the right program.

“I don’t think there is any doubt that Connecticut will have the No. 1 recruiting class. They are bringing in three of the Top 6 players in the country, so everyone will still be chasing UConn. Tennessee will have a big class with the incoming freshmen  led by Te’a Cooper and transfer Diamond DeShields (from North Carolina). They will have a roster with a number of McDonald’s All-Americans, and then you are adding one of the premier talents in the country. I have always thought that DeShields has tremendous potential to be one of the best players who has ever played the game.”
