So Cal Select Stars To Shine At La Jolla Memorial Day Classic

The So Cal Select program boasts plenty of star power for the upcoming travel season. The headliner is Ayanna Clark (2017, 6-3, PF), but she is just the start of the story for the club.

“Just about everyone has listed Ayanna as one of the best players in the country,” noted Coach Matt Thalley. “We also feel very good about the players we have coming up in the 2018 and 2019 classes.”

The So Cal Select stars will all be going against top flight competition at the 2015 La Jolla Memorial Day Classic. The event, which will be run by the renowned All Star Girls Report staff, will be played May 23-24 at the La Jolla Country Day High School.

In addition to Clark, who is ranked as the No. 4 recruit nationally in her class by ASGR, the spotlight will be on So Cal Select’s Charisma Osborne (2019, 5-8, CG), Leilani McIntosh (2019, 5-6, PG) and Cailyn Crocker (2019, 5-8, G).

Bret McCormick, the analyst for the All Star Girls Report, has Osborne listed as the No. 18 recruit in the Class of 2019, McIntosh is at No. 19, and Crocker is listed at No. 26.
“Osborne is an athletic, skilled point guard who really understands the game and knows how to involve her teammates. Plus, she can score the basketball,” McCormick said. “McIntosh has an explosive game. She is very quick and very skilled, so she is a player to watch. Crocker is also very quick, skilled and aggressive. She can score in a lot of different ways.”
