One of the elite programs in New England, the Mass Huskies, will be a key participant when the All Star Girls Report hosts the first ever Greater Boston Memorial Day Classic this year.
The inaugural event will be played on May 28-29, with over 100 plus teams expected to compete. Games will be played at two outstanding facilities that are within two miles of each other just outside of Boston. The Mass Premier Courts and the M-Plex will provide a total of 13 courts.
The Mass Huskies program, which has grown and strengthen into one of the cornerstone programs in the area, will send eight teams to the Classic.
“We are very excited about working with the All Star Girls Report to create this high level showcase event,” said Hank DeSantis, the Mass Huskies’ program director. “When you partner with the All Star Girls Report, that gives you automatic credibility. Everyone knows that if it is an ASGR event, it’s going to be a quality tournament.
“We’re also excited about bringing an event of this magnitude to New England. We have over 250 colleges in this area — this is a hotbed for quality Division II and Division III programs — so the players are going to get tremendous exposure here.
“We are confident that we are going to have a high level of competition, with top teams from New England joining elite travel teams from outside the region.”
