High Flying Team Breakdown Set For Marietta TOC

The star studded Team Breakdown program has been on a roll this summer, and the players on the Florida based club have been reaping the rewards.

“We were very happy with the summer. We’d like to win every tournament we play, but overall it was a great summer,” said Coach Pat Gajardo. “All of our 2016 kids have offers now, and that’s great. Two of them have already committed, and the rest are going to have their options.”

Team Breakdown will wrap up its 2015 travel season at the All Star Girls Report sponsored Marietta Tournament of Champions. The event, which will be played from Sept. 25-27 at the Suwanee Sports Academy outside of Atlanta, Ga., will feature some of the nation’s finest travel squads.

The Team Breakdown roster is headlined by Cabria Lee (2017, 5-8, PG, rated at No. 37 in her class by ASGR), Kat Williams (2017, 6-5, C, No. 169), Amaya Scott (2017, 6-1, F, No. 345), Isabelle Lopez (2017, 5-7, PG, No. 305) and Sydney Jones (2018, 6-0, WF, No. 195).

“When they watch Cabria, everyone says she is like Russell Westbrook,” Gajardo said. “She is a very explosive, one-two type of guard who is just dynamic in the open floor. She can get to the basket at will, and she is a tough defender.

“Katis going to rebound, block shots, and finish everything around the rim with either hand. She just gives her team a great presence in the paint. Amaya is a super athlete with a high motor, and she competes at both end of the court. She is great in transition, she handles the ball well, and she is very good with her mid-range game.

“Isabelle is a high IQ, throwback type of point guard. She is feisty, and she is a tough defender. Offensively, she can make shots at all three levels, and she sees the floor very well. Sydney is a super athlete. She is a scorer who can hit the three, and she is great in transition. Sydney is also a very good on-ball defender.”
