FBC Georgia Youngsters Ready For Summer Basketball Playoff

The top team for FBC Georgia got off to a fast start in the spring of 2015, but the veterans couldn’t keep up with the FBC Georgia youngsters. After winning their division at the prestigious Deep South Classic in North Carolina, the squad earned another championship trophy at the Midwest Showdown in Ohio.

“All of our teams are doing well, but I have been really impressed with that team,” said Coach Mo Motton. “Those younger kids have really hit the scene strong, and we want to see them keep that momentum going. We are really expecting big things from that group in the future.”

The 2018 stars for FBC Georgia will hope to continue their success this summer when they travel to Charlotte, NC for the 2015 ASGR Summer Basketball Playoff on July 27-30. The event, which will feature many of America’s top club programs, will be held at the Carolina Courts facility.

The FBC Georgia team is paced by a trio of athletic perimeter players — Chanel Wilson (2018, 5-7, PG), Arynn Eady (2018, 6-1, WF) and Kori McDaniel (2018, 6-1, WF).

“Chanel is a scoring point guard who is learning how to facilitate the basketball,” Motton said. “She is very comfortable in transition, and that’s how we like to play, and she’s doing a good job leading the team.

“Arynn is very athletic, and she is a very strong defender. She does a good job of getting to the rim, and she is a young player who is improving every day. Kori can really shoot the outside shot, and she can defend the three, four or five. Kori is coming off an ACL injury, and you can see that she has been consistently gaining confidence this spring.”
