FBC Basketball Will Be In Backyard At Suwanee TOC

The FBC Basketball program travels countless miles each summer seeking out elite competition and quality exposure with college coaches. In July, FBC’s players will get that experience in their own backyard when the compete in the Suwanee Tournament  of Champions.

The 2017 Suwanee TOC will be played on July 5-8. The All Star Girls Report run event will be held at the tremendous Suwanee Sports Academy, which is located just outside of Atlanta.

FBC will bring a tremendous cast of elite athletes to Suwanee, including program veterans Brooke Moore, Bria Harmon and Javyn Nicholson. Moore is a 5-6 combo guard who is listed as the No. 64 prospect in the nation in the Class of 2018 according to ASGR. Moore has verbally committed to Auburn. Harmon is a 5-6 point guard. The No. 153 ranked player in the Class of 2019, Harmon has verbally to Purdue.  Nicholson is a 6-3 power forward in the Class of 2019.

“Brooke might be the best overall scorer in our program,” said FBC director Mo Motton. “She can really shoot the long ball, and she just knows how to get her shot. Brooke is a player who brings a lot of energy to the team.

“Bria is a true point guard who does a great job handling the ball and running the point, but she can also shoot the deep three.

“Javyn is a versatile post player. She can play with her back to the basket, and she can step out to the three-point line. I see her as a pick-and-pop four at the collegiate level.”

FBC will also have a pair of newcomers from North Carolina — Ahlana Smith (5-11, G, 2018, No. 91 rank) and Courtney Meadows (5-5, PG, 2018, No. 59).

“Ahlana is a scorer,” Motton said. “She shoots the long ball, and she is very good in the mid-range. Ahlana is really tough to stop in transition.

“Courtney is a facilitator, but she can score the basketball. She is also a big time defender, and she brings tremendous energy to the court every time out.”
