Already established as the top name in summer travel basketball events, the All Star Girls Report will enter a new phase next winter when the inaugural Atlanta Holiday Prep Classic is held at Collins Hill High School. The event, which will feature the top-flight Atlanta area talent along with elite high school teams from around the country, is slated for Dec. 27-29, 2016.
Brian Harmon, the head coach at Collins Hill High in Suwanee, Ga., was looking for an opportunity to challenge his team, and he found the perfect vehicle in the Atlanta Holiday Prep Classic.
“When I took over this program, I knew that I always wanted to play the top teams,” Harmon said. “These are the kinds of opponents you need to play if you want to contend for state championships. Our players have bought into that. They want to play the best so that they can improve.”
The Atlanta Holiday Prep Classic will feature many of the nation’s top teams, both from within the Metro Atlanta area and beyond.
“We have a lot of high level players and teams in Georgia, and it’s going to be great seeing those teams compete against the best teams in the nation,” Harmon said.
The engine bringing all of those teams together will be the All Star Girls Report.
“The people at the All Star Girls Report are the best, and they have been the best in girls basketball for a long time,” Harmon said. “The All Star Girls Report has been putting together great events, consistently, for the 15 years that I have been involved in the sport. There are other good organizations, but none can match the All Star Girls Report.
“They do a phenomenal job setting up the events, and they take care of the teams. I’m sure this will be a great event, and a great experience for the girls.”
