Florida has become a major battleground for collegiate recruiters, and 2014 will be no different. The chase for Class of 2014 prospects is accelerating, and the All Star Girls Report is following all the action. In the coming weeks, ASGR will break down the top recruits in the class by region. Today, we look at the ASGR Miami Region, which includes the entire state of Florida. Subscribers can log on to the database at the subscriber login at the top of page.

The complete  All Star Girls Report database has over 100 players (2014-2018 classes) from the Florida region. Ratings and player notes are included from veteran ASGR analyst Bret McCormick, providing programs from high majors to mid-majors with invaluable information.

Here are the Top 25 prospects for 2014 from the Miami region. The Super Six players from the area include a comment from McCormick.

1.  Khale’ann Cordon-Goudrea, 6-3, WF, IMG Academy, Bradenton, FL.  McCormick: “Khale’ann and her sister are from Canada, and now they are at the IMG Academy. Khale’ann is a great athlete with a high basketball IQ, and she has a strong inside-outside game.”

2.  Dominique Simpson, 5-9, SG, Jones, Orlando, FL.  McCormick: “Dominique is a very athletic combo guard. She is effective attacking the basket, and her shooting range extends to the three-point arc.”

3.  Taryn Griffey, 5-6, PG, Dr. Phillips, Orlando, FL.  McCormick: “Taryn, who is Ken Griffey Jr.’s daughter, is out with a knee injury right now. When she is healthy, she is a lightning quick PG with a good handle. She knows the game, and she likes to compete.”

4.  Audrey Ann Cardon-Goudrea, 6-3, WF, IMG Academy, Bradenton, FL.  McCormick: “Audrey Ann is similar to her sister — a long athlete. She has a nice baby hook, and she can shoot it out to the three-point line.”

5. Haley Clark, 5-9, PG, Edgewater, Orlando, FL.  McCormick: “Haley is a combo guard who has good fundamentals in all phases of the game. She is an effective shooter from three-point range.”

6.  Keyanna Harris, 5-11, WF, Dwyer, Riviera Beach, FL.  McCormick: “Keyanna is just a great athlete who can explode off the wing. She can get to the rim, and she knows how to finish in traffic.”
